Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Europe: Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps apps on iOS in Europe showcased varied performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with downloads peaking at approximately 800K in mid-July before gradually declining to around 586K by the end of September. Weekly active users exhibited a slight downward trend, starting at 75M and ending the quarter at approximately 72M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw its downloads rise to about 344K in mid-August, followed by a consistent decline, closing the quarter at nearly 194K. Its weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 13.8M, peaking in mid-August at 15.2M, and then decreasing to about 13.4M by the end of the quarter.

Yandex Maps & Navigator experienced modest revenue growth, peaking at approximately $2.2K in the last week of September. Downloads decreased over the quarter from 111K to 70K. Weekly active users increased slightly, beginning at 3.2M and reaching 3.3M by the end of September.

Google Earth saw a steady decline in downloads, starting at 103K and dropping to around 88K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a similar pattern, beginning at 667K and ending at approximately 625K.

Trip Planner - Polarsteps experienced a peak in downloads of about 102K in mid-July, with a subsequent decline to roughly 67K by the end of September. Its weekly active users increased early in the quarter to 414K in late July, then gradually decreased to 361K by the end of September.
